O-scope: Resurrection

After two long years, I’ve decided to finish Project O-Scope. Some things have changed since I last worked on it. It’s now going to be used as a car computer, and will have a 400W AC Inverter with it.

Yes, after selling my wonderful air-conditioned Mod Shop in New Orleans (and I think we sold a house to go with it) it’s time to pimp out my new workspace! At least as much as you can pimp out particle board.

Captain, Prepare To Dock!

Okay, my dirty little secret in the computer world is that I don’t actually keep up with technology. I’m an old-school computer guy, so the latest gizmos usually escape my notice until they start selling them at Best Buy.

However, I ran across this and thought it was just fantastic! I’ve seen SATA converters before, but this takes the cake… notice how they used a Western Digital Raptor X drive? I think I would have to use one too. What about you? Is this something you’d rock on your desktop? They make it with a USB hub, too!
